ZTE Axon 7

ZTE Axon 7 was arguably one of the best smartphones of 2017. It packed flagship specifications at a very affordable price. The smartphone even out shined the other flagship competitors in a few areas. Now, ZTE is adding a few features to the software and making it even better.

Firstly, the ZTE Axon 7 now supports microSD cards upto 256GB in size. Previously, the phone only supported microSD cards upto 128GB in size. It is worthy to note that the ZTE Axon 7 has a high quality audio DAC and can support high quality music. Therefore the extra storage can help you store more of those size hungry music files.

Secondly, ZTE has added new “Night Mode”, much like the other flagships. This feature eliminates the blue light and gives a red or yellow tint, thus helping you sleep better at night. The update also includes a few bug fixes and performance improvements.

This update brings Android 7.1.1 to the ZTE Axon 7. Android 7.1.1 contains several battery optimisations which can improve battery life. ZTE recommends that users remove the microSD card from the device before installing the update.

The update should be available to all Axon 7 users in the next 48 hours. The full changelog for this update is given below:

  • Enables “Night Mode” setting
  • Supports 256GB microSD cards
  • Allows users to disable some stock apps
  • Optimises the “Do Not Disturb” function
  • Fixes various Wi-Fi Calling issues
  • Improves device stability and security
  • Miscellaneous performance improvements and other fixes
