The YotaPhone 3 has been in the news for some 3 to 4 months. Considering its predecessor was launched in 2014, at least 2 years earlier. That is not at all surprising. Earlier, the phone was suspected to launch in 2016. But that didn’t happen. Now, it will. As the Russian company behind YotaPhone itself has hinted the price at which it will be available.
Today’s leak closes up on the price aspect further. Apparently, Yota Devices Chinese website has listed two models in two colors.
- (White) with 64GB storage will cost CNY 2,398 ($360 approx)
- (Black) with 64GB storage will cost CNY 2,498 ($375 approx)
- (White) with 128GB storage will cost CNY 3,098 (around $465)
- (Black) with 128GB storage will cost CNY 3,198 (around $480)
We’ve also just learned that the dual screen device just passed TENAA. That brings it one step closer to launch.
From what we know, the YotaPhone 3 will be equipped with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 625 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The handset will have a 12 MP lens at the back and a 13 MP lens at the front. Of course, not to forget the E-ink display that will dominate the back of the phone is also the USP of the lineup.
The phone will be manufactured by ZTE and so China and Russia will be the first to get the dual display phones.
