Xiaomi has had a very good start to this year with the launch of the Redmi Note 4 and the Redmi 3s smartphones. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 and the Redmi 3s have already set records for the fastest selling smartphones in their price segments. The smartphones have been ever-popular and now, the Xiaomi VP and India MD Manu Kumar Jain on Saturday announced that the company has sold over 40 lakh units of the Redmi 3S phone in the country in 9 months. The Redmi 3S, which was launched in India in August last year, has in fact become the highest selling phone ever available in India via the online sales model, Manu Kumar said.

This announcement was made by Manu Kumar Jain on Twitter and he also announced a contest for the Xiaomi fans where they could win ‘F codes’ to Xiaomi’s next phone which will be the Xiaomi Redmi 4. As we have already known, Xiaomi Redmi 4 is launching on May 16.

Xiaomi Redmi 3s is the highest-selling smartphone in India because of the performance it offers at such a low price. Xiaomi Redmi 3s prices start at Rs 6,999 for the base 2GB RAM/16GB memory Redmi 3S and goes all the way up to Rs 8,999 for the high-end 3GB RAM/32GB memory Redmi 3S Prime. The Redmi 3S Prime additionally also includes a fingerprint scanner on the back. Both the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are available exclusively on and Flipkart.

Xiaomi, just recently opened its first Mi Home store in India located in Bengaluru. It is expected that Xiaomi would also release the Xiaomi Redmi 4 at the Mi Home after launch for the fans to experience the phone.
