Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 is one of the best sellers online in India. The handset launched 10 months earlier is the sequel to the Redmi Note 3, which was also a best seller last year. Now the company is slashing the prices of the lineup permanently with two variants getting Rs 1000 discounts. As it is, the Redmi Note 4 was a great deal without the discount, but this price cut makes it even more appealing. Especially the 3 GB model. This discount will presumably be for phones sold online on Mi.com and Flipkart and not offline handsets.
The Redmi Note 4 (2GB) model price remains the same as earlier while the REdmi Note 4 (3GB) now costs Rs 9,999 (Earlier Rs 10,999) and the Redmi Note 4 (4GB) now costs Rs 11,999.
The price drop is also an indication of the inevitable release of the Redmi Note 5. The phone has been in the leaks lately and was speculated to launch on November 11 (11.11). Obviously, that did not happen. But, we are expecting it in the coming 2 months.
Even the Mi Max 2 received got a price slash of Rs 1,000 recently. The discount is still there for the 4 GB + 32 GB variant on Flipkart. It is selling for Rs 13,999. Earlier it was priced Rs 14,999.
The Redmi Note 4 deal becomes even more enticing when you add MIUI 9 in the mix. Xiaomi recently announced global MIUI 9 for many smartphones including India and this ROM comes with some great new features.
