Xiaomi has been preparing to launch the sucessor to its last generation flagship phone which will be termed as the Xiaomi Mi6. Last year, the company launched the Xiaomi Mi5 which didn’t do well as per company’s expectations so the company is very eager to launch the Mi6 smartphone. We have already been hearing the speculations about the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi6 and just last week, we saw the official poster from Xiaomi which said that the phone will be launching soon. Now that the launch date is very near, Xiaomi has launched the official release date of the Xiaomi Mi6 smartphone. The poster says “203 days for you,7 years for Mi”. This could be attributed to the wait time between its Mi5 and Mi6 smartphones and Xiaomi has been betting big on the Mi6.

The poster says that the Xiaomi event will held on April 19 in Beijing. This event will be the Xiaomi Mi6 launch event. We have also obtained more details about the launch which states that the phone will come with Dual Camera Setup, Upgraded Curved Screen, and 6GB of RAM’. The live event will be held in Beijing University Of Technology Gymnasium.

As for the specifications of the phone, the Mi6 will come with 5.2-inch flat Full HD display and Mi 6 Plus will feature 5.5-inch curved WQHD display (2560×1440 pixels). The Mi6 Plus version would feature a dual camera setup of 12MP+12MP resolution at the back while an 8MP will be placed up front for selfies. In Mi 6, we will get to see a 19MP Sony sensor on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera. This Mi6 and Mi6 Plus will have 3200mAh and 4500mAh battery capacity respectively. Stay tuned as we will know the exact pricing of the phones on April 19.
