There have been rumours floating around about the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 and the Mi Mix 2. Now, a latest leak has surfaced online and it provides information about the specs of the phone. However, the leak doesn’t specify the name of the device and specifies the codename “Chiron”. Thus, a confusion prevails whether it’s the Mi Note 3 or the Mi Mix 2. That said, the leaked device looks more like the Mi Note 3.
This is due to the fact that the Mi Note line from Xiaomi consists of phablets with good specs. The Mi Note 3 can be seen sporting a 6-inch display, which is 0.3 inches bigger than it’s predecessor. Now with companies like Samsung and LG going with the near bezel-less front on their smartphones, Xiaomi is certain to follow the same. Therefore Xiaomi will be able to fit in a larger display in the same form-factor. It is worthy to note that the Mi Mix already houses a 6.4 inch display and hence there is no way Xiaomi will reduce the screen real-estate.
The pictures reveal that the Mi Note 3 will have a full-screen display with minimal bezels, similar to the one found on the Samsung Galaxy S8.
As for optics, the Mi Note 3 will borrow the camera sensors from the Xiaomi Mi 6 i.e. a 12MP dual camera setup for the rear and an 8MP selfie shooter.
The smartphone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC and not the Snapdragon 836 SoC. It will be available in 6GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage variants. The leak also claims that the Mi Note 3 will launch on July 25.
