Xiaomi has announced the Mi Band 1s, the successor to its popular Mi Band fitness tracker at a price of $15. The device looks just like its predecessor and will work with both Android and iOS devices. The new Mi Band 1s launches in China on November 11.

The Mi Band Pulse features same design as Mi Band and now comes with improved silicone rubber strap. The biggest addition to the fitness tracker is the optical heart rate sensor. Xiaomi says the new Mi Band Pulse is capable of real time heart rate monitoring.

The heart rate sensor has been seen on more premium fitness bands like Fitbit and smartwatches like Apple Watch, Samsung Gear S2 and Android Wear watches. The Mi Band Pulse will work with companion app Mi Fit available on Android and iOS.

The Mi Band Pulse will be able to calculate steps, calories burned and can also track hours of sleep. The Mi Band Pulse is IP67 certified making it water and dust resistant.
