We were expecting Xiaomi to announce two models of the Mi 6 this April. It was widely rumoured that Xiaomi was all set to announce the Mi 6 Plus along with the Mi 6. However, even after months after the Mi 6 release, the Mi 6 Plus still hasn’t been announced.

This might all change now as we have leaked images of the Mi 6 Plus from China. The leaked image shows us what the rear panel of the phone may look like. In the pic, the Mi 6 Plus is placed next to the Mi 6 and the they are similar as expected. However it remains unknown as to why Xiaomi didn’t announce the Plus model along with the regular Mi 6.

Mi 6 Plus

The Mi 6 Plus is pretty much expected to be similar in all aspects to the Mi 6 except for of-course, the size. The earlier leaked information suggested that the Mi 6 Plus will feature a 5.7 inch display with 1080p resolution.

The Mi 6 Plus is expected to be powered by the top of the line Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. It will come with 64/128 GB of very fast UFS 2.0 storage. It is said to be fuelled by a massive 4,500 mAh battery with quick charge 3.0 support. It is expected to feature the identical dual camera setup found on the Mi 6 and will run on MIUI 8 on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
