Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched two new Mi consumer products today, including a new Mi TV 2S and an all-new Mi water purifier. The Mi water purifier is aimed at reducing the plastic footprint. With TDS <100 and Reverse Osmosis technology, the purifier makes tap water drinkable. The purifier has a base area smaller than an A4-size paper. It can dispense 400 gallons of purified water in a day.
Price : RMB 1299 (roughly Rs 13,284).
“This is a product we’d Love to bring to India soon — Mi Water Purifier. Just announced today, it makes tap water drinkable with Reverse Osmosis (RO), is super compact, shows real-time water quality, and reminds you on your smartphone when it’s time to replace the filter (plus you can order a new filter with one click too!),” said Xiaomi vice president Hugo Barra in a Facebook post.
