Redmi 4

With the launch of the first Mi Home store in India and the purported launch of 100 more stores in the period of two years, Xiaomi is investing not just money but also efforts on Indian market to expand their brand recognition. But the recent success of Redmi 3s in India as the “Highest Selling Smartphone Online” tells us that Xiaomi would like to play a different strategy in Indian market.

Xiaomi claims that over 4 million units of Xiaomi Redmi 3s (without mentioning any variants) was sold online. Their success on online channel gave them a hint to finally colonize the offline channel by launching more stores all over India. This is a good strategy that other companies should follow.

Xiaomi Redmi 3s was launched along with Redmi 3s Prime in August last year. They are decently priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 8,999.
