We had earlier reported that Vivo is going to launch a new Vivo smartphone on April 4 which is the same day of the start of IPL which is a domestic cricket league in India. Now we have all the details regarding the phone which is going to be launched tomorrow. Vivo is going to launch Vivo IPL edition smartphone which will be the Vivo V5 Plus but the price may vary. This can be attributed to the fact that Vivo is the official sponsor of IPL this year and IPL has completed 10 years in India as well.

Regarding the phone, the Vivo IPL Edition will most likely contain the same specifications as that of the Vivo V5 Plus. This phone, according to company’s official invite will be available in Matte Black color. The Vivo V5 Plus’s main feature is its dual front-facing camera setup which constitutes of a 20-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor along with a Moonlight Glow flash. The front-facing dual camera set up offers an enhanced depth of field (DOF) which is also known as Bokeh effect. At the back, there is a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash where we get features like features include Face Beauty, Panorama, HDR, Night, Ultra HD, PPT, Motion Track, Professional, Slow, Fast, Voice Shutter, Touch Capture, Palm, Timer, Gender Detection, Filter, and Watermark.

As for the specifications of the Vivo V5 Plus, the phone comes with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8976) processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage – expandable storage up to 128GB. The phone has3160 mAh battery with fast charging support.

The phone is expected to come with some sort of IPL branding and will most likely be priced similar to the Vivo V5 Plus which is currently selling at Rs. 27,900 in India.
