Vivo, the chinese smartphone manufacturing company who has already launched the Vivo V5 Plus teased about a new variant of the V5 Plus for the Indian users. This phone was teased to be available in Matte Black color variant. Vivo is the primary sponsor of the Indian Premier League as well so to celebrate 10 years of IPL in India, Vivo has launched a limited edition of the Vivo V5 Plus in India with some IPL branding on the phone. This is a limited edition phone and will be available on Flipkart from April 10. This phone has been targeted to the cricket lovers in India who are eagerly waiting for the IPL.

The Vivo V5 Plus IPL limited edition comes with an all-black Matte Black color and the phone comes with the IPL logo engraved on the back of the phone. The phone also comes with an IPL wallpaper for some homescreen and lockscreen customization. The Vivo IPL edition is the exact same phone as the Vivo V5 Plus launched last year.

The Vivo V5 Plus is a dual-SIM selfie-focused smartphone which runs on the company’s Funtouch OS 3.0, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Its biggest highlight is its dual front camera setup. It sports a 20-megapixel camera with the Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens system, while it also sports a 8-megapixel camera that’s meant to capture depth-of-field information.

On the rear, Vivo V5 Plus bears a 16-megapixel sensor with LED flash. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on the Home Button. The Vivo V5 Plus (Review) sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, and is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC that’s coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Vivo V5 Plus features 64GB of inbuilt storage that’s non-expandable. It offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS connectivity options. It measures 152.8×74.00×7.26 mm and weighs 158.6 grams. It is powered by a 3055mAh battery in India.

The pricing and availability of the smartphone hasn’t been revealed yet but the phone will be available on Flipkart starting April 10. The price of the phone is expected to be similar to the Vivo V5 Plus which is sold in India at Rs. 27,980.
