Xperia Blog has recently reported that a Polish e-retailer has listed two new unannounced SONY smartphones. The handsets bear the model numbers G8341 and G8441 which could be the rumoured Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact. SONY is expected to launch around three new handsets at its IFA Press Conference this year, which is scheduled to be held on the 31 August.
The listings do not have any images or even hardware specifications listed, it does show list the models in four colour variants. The G8341 will be available in Black, Moonlite Blue, Venus Pink and Warm Silver while the G8441 has been listed in Black, Horizon Blue, Snow Silver and Twilight Pink. The detailed hue of each colour variant does confer some legitimacy to the listings as brands are known to use such descriptive colour naming schemes.
If we assume that the G8341 and G8441 are the SONY Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact, respectively; The handsets would be launched with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset and running Android O out of the box. Rumours attribute the XZ1 bearing a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 x1920) display while the XZ1 Compact will have a smaller 4.6-inch display with an HD (720 x1280) display panel.
The listing also shows the price of the G8341 as €750 (~₹55,155) while the G8441 comes in at €650 (~₹47,800). We will be sharing more information regarding the handsets as and when it comes by.
