Samsung Galaxy S8 Sprint Update

Sprint is rolling out a pretty big update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 +. This update was much requested by users and it’s no surprise that Sprint has delivered. The software update adds the compatibility for Sprint’s CallingPLUS feature that uses mobile data while on a VOLTE call.

Also, the update brings with it general software optimisations, bug fixes and stability improvements. In addition, the release notes also convey the inclusion of Enhanced Messaging tools but it is unclear what that exactly means.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 sports a 5.8-inch Infinity display with minimal bezels on the top and the bottom. It is powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC in the U.S and the Exynos 8895 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. This is intern backed up by a 3000mAh battery.

The S8 Plus on the other hand mainly boasts of the same specs with minor differences. It features a 6.2-inch Infinity display and includes a larger 3500mAh battery.

If you own a Galaxy S8 or an S8 Plus on Sprint, you can wait for the update or check manually by going to Settings->About Device->Download Updates Manually.

The update as usual is being released in stages and it may take upto two weeks before it hits your device.
