There is a considerable amount of mystery regarding the Pixel 2 phones coming next month on the net. Although We have had sneak peeks at the design of both phones. There are a lot of blanks left to be filled in. And this year Google is set to break the mold by making both the Pixels look different. Earlier Pixels were so similar, there was practically no design difference between them. That is set to change this time as Google has contracted LG for the larger sibling and HTC for the smaller Pixel 2.
Here we have some blurry images leaked today that revolve around the Pixel 2. Interestingly, this image shows a slate gray model as against black models earlier. Unfortunately, the images have been blurred to protect the identity of the source, says 9to5Google who first reported the info. Moreover, they are not sure if this color will see the light of day. Also, they agree with previous reports that a base 64 GB model and a 128 GB model will be available.
The tidbits we gathered from little possible we see are the laser detect autofocus signal holes beneath the camera. That is a new reveal. Coming to the front, the visible stereo speaker grill reaffirms the phone will have Boomsound-like audio quality. But we’ve seen this before. So it’s nothing new. It does mean that google will keep the thick bezels but put them to good use this time with the Pixel 2.
Other details worth noting are the removal of the headphone jack. Although internal discussions are on regarding a worthy substitute. One of them being Google’s Assistant powered headphones. The Pixel 2 will also come with better water and dust resistance but it does not confirm IP68 certification, says the report. Moreover, this time the always on display will truly be always on as opposed to the previous iterations.
The majority is of the opinion that October 5 will be the official reveal date though Google has remained mum so far on the subject.
