Samsung started pushing out the Nougat update to the Galaxy J7 2016 units in Russia and India last month, and the company is expanding it even further. Now, the J7 2016 smartphones with model number SM-JM10MN are starting to receive the update. This model number stands for devices from various regions like Trinidad and Tobago, Brazil, Venezuela , Chile, Argentina etc.
The update comes in with build number J710MNUBU3BQH5 and brings several improvements apart from bringing Nougat to the J7 2016. The includes improved multi-window split screen support, revamped notification mode, Doze mode, improved Settings menu and also performance improvements and bug fixes.
To recall, the Galaxy J7 2016 sports a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution. It is powered by the in-house Exynos 7870 SoC coupled with the Mali-T830 MP1 GPU. The handset includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage that is expandable upto 256GB via a microSD card.
