Samsung’s Galaxy J series of smartphones which consist of Galaxy J3, J5 and J7 have been launched in Europe. Samsung’s J series of smartphones have bee upgraded to 2017 models after the company launched the 2016 models of the J series last year. The highlight of the Samsung J5 and J7 are its metal body, fingerprint sensor, VoLTE support, also note that the smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat. The smartphones have been launched in Europe and the smartphones are priced at EUR 279 which equates to Rs. 19,600 and EUR 339 which is Rs. 24,600 respectively. Samsung has also launched the Samsung Galaxy J3(2017) in Europe priced at EUR 219. The Galaxy J3(2017) is the budget-friendly smartphone in the Samsung Galaxy J series.
As for the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and supports a dual-SIM slot. It features a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by the 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor with Mali T830 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage offered is at 16GB that is further expandable via a microSD card slot. The Galaxy J7(2017) 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, a USB Type-C port, 3GB of RAM, and IP54 rated splash resistance. The battery also increases to 3600mAh which are the only differences from the Samsung Galaxy J5(2017).
Apart from the Galaxy J5 and J7(2017), the Samsung Galaxy J3(2017) comes with 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a slightly smaller 2400 mAH battery. Samsung has not announced the official pricing and availability details of the smartphone other than Europe but the smartphones are expected to launch soon in India.
