After letting the cat out of the bag regarding the Galaxy S8 and S8+ launch in India, Samsung today started sending out invitations for the launch event for you guessed it the 19th of April. Earlier last week the company’s official twitter handle for India had tweeted out as much before it was hastily taken down and replaced with a place-holder, coming soon.

Now it has been confirmed that the event will take placed on Wednesday and the event is scheduled to begin at 1200 Hours IST. We expect details like pricing, availability and pre-order offers to be shared on the launch.

The company is most likely to launch a dual-SIM variant of their flagship Galaxy devices in India, featuring the in-house Exynos 8895 SoC rather than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835. This is not such a bad thing though because the former has beaten then latter in multiple benchmarks released on the internet. What is more interesting is that the S8 and S8+ will be launching sans Bixby but will feature Samsung’s newly introduced Samsung Pay feature integrated with UPI and PayTM.
