The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2017 (8.0) has been at the centre of multiple recent leaks. The device is a budget oriented tablet focussed on first-time users and kids. This was summed up by its rather modest specifications combined with the large display.
Today, noted tipster @rquandt has provided us with press renders of the Galaxy Tab A 2017. They show us what the tablet would look like in two different finishes (Black and Gold).

Even after the Galaxy Tab A 2017 has been aimed at the budget segment it looks like the back is made out of metal. The frame of the tablet is likely made out of plastic with appropriately coloured trim. The 8.0-inch display up front with its wide bezels is probably what gives away the budget nature of the tablet the most.

Internally the tablet packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. This is expandable via a microSD card up to 128GB. The 8.0-inch display panel has a resolution of 800 x1200 (HD+) but it is not known of which type, AMOLED or IPS. The primary rear camera of the tablet is an 8-megapixel sensor at the back with a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. All this hardware is powered by a 5000mAh battery and out of the box the tablet will run on Android v.7.1.1., Nougat under Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
Apart from this, it is expected that the Galaxy Tab A 2017 (8.0) is likely to be the first budget tablet to release with Bixby Home on board.
