As part of the ongoing series of leaks concerning the Galaxy S9, we’ve now got a new one. This new leak surfaced on rumour gold mine, Weibo brings us 2 back panels of the upcoming flagship series. And we’re quite happy to say that the fingerprint scanner will surely be moved to the back of the device.
The rear panel has a cutout that is vertical in nature which explains what we stated earlier. Also, now there’s the question of a dual camera on the Galaxy S9. Major consensus is that dual cameras won’t be introduced on the Galaxy S9. That privilege will be reserved for the Galaxy S9 Plus. Recent CAD renders also pointed to the same possibility that we have here.
Apart from that, there is little to this new leak. Although other legit leaks lying around in the blogosphere have indicated that the overall Galaxy S9 design is likely to remain the same as the Galaxy S8. At best, there will be minor changes in the look of the handset.
In terms of other components, we expect the Galaxy S9/S9 + to pack a top of the line processor, at least 4 GB of RAM, and a 3,200 mAh battery.
According to the latest info, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S9 in February, though the handsets won’t be available to buy before March 2018.
