It hasn’t been long since the fatal Blueborne bug was discovered to make billions of devices vulnerable to a hack. Since then, we have seen fixes issued for the Nexus and Pixel devices in the September Security patch. There are still many devices lingering in the danger zone waiting for the update. However, Samsung has started issuing a fix for its top devices, specifically the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Sammobile reported that the update is rolling in the Netherlands right now and weighs 476 MB. Also, the update will be hitting another close by regions soon. The changelog doesn’t bump the patch to September but it does mention that latest Google security patches are applied. It’s no big deal, Samsung might implement this month’s fixes in the October patch.

Additionally, the update adds stability to wireless charging and navigation bar. Whatever that means. It might be related to the Navigation bar hiding feature that has some bugs, we guess. To see if it’s there on your Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, head into the Software update section and hit the Download updates manually button.
