Did you expect to live without a day of leaks? Sorry to disappoint, Samsung is in the news again. This time the Korean giants Galaxy S and S8+ have been spotted in the open. The latest flagships for this year have been glimpsed every now and then but this is the first time both are in the same image. Both the devices will be formally announced and detailed on the 29th of March in an Unpack event.
Our source is Slashleaks, who have posted an image of the two devices side by side. There is a multitude of sensor packages that can noticed. The devices are rumoured to carry an iris scanner, we can also notice the usual suspects like the proximity and ambient light senors. These are flanked by the selfie camera and forward firing flash with the earpiece in the centre, ideally these sensors should not be so easy to pick out in production units.

From this photograph we can see the disparity in the sizes while appreciating the smooth edge to edge curved display present on both the handsets. We also notice the common design philosophy between the two devices which differ only in the screen-size as has been mentioned in earlier leaks. Both devices are going to be powered by either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 or Samsung’s in house Exynos 8895 SoC depending which region you are in, apart from being water resistant. The bundle along with the smartphones will contain a pair of AKG earphones since Samsung now owns Harmon International Industries which is the parent company for JBL and AKG Acoustics. This should become a norm carrying into the future a bit like HTC’s smartphones carrying Beats Audio technology till the time they were the owners of the brand.
