After an absence of more than a year, Samsung’s Note lineup has a worthy successor. The smartphone was launched on August 23 and is now getting launched in India on September 12th. The S-Pen phablet managed to hoard an impressive 4,00,000 pre-orders in S. Korea and has garnered 2,50,000 pre-registrations in India. The Galaxy Note 8 is now available for pre-bookings in India and will ship starting September 21. That is also the date when it will be on shelves. It will be available through select retail stores as well as Amazon.in and Samsung retail stores starting September 21.

Samsung was initially thought to price the phone north of Rs, 70,000 but has actually priced the device lower. The base model with 64 GB comes at a price of Rs. 67,900. Only two colors are available as of now. Those are the Maple Gold and Midnight Black. Early buyers will be getting a free wireless charger and a one-time screen replacement as a bargain.

Talking about freebies and offers, Indian buyers will get a free clear case and AKG-tuned headphones. Samsung will also give up to 448 GB additional data to Reliance Jio Prime members with the Note 8. Moreover, HDFC credit card users can get Rs, 4,000 cash back as part of the festive offer. The Korean company has also announced a Samsung Upgrade Program where old Galaxy Note devices can be exchanged for new ones to avail discounts.

The Korean Electronics also stated that it will be launching Bixby Voice in India in the next few weeks. The AI assistant will be available for the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 + and the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung has also said that they have upgraded Bixby to understand Indian accents as part of the “Make for India” initiative.
