There have been a swarm of leaks surrounding Apple’s next generation of iPhone’s which is compounded by 2017 being the decennial anniversary for the iconic smartphone’s launch. When the company unleashed the iPhone in 2007, it was a shockwave that shattered a lot of myths and laid low established brands like NOKIA and Blackberry which are still trying to stay relevant in a post-iPhone world. Thus, it is quite normal that the whole world awaits on bated breath what the Cupertino giant has in store for us with the iPhone 8.

It seems that noted designer and tipster Benjamin Geskin has managed to acquire a CNC-machined dummy of the device. However in today’s age of 3D printing and machining it is difficult to discern a detailed mock-up vis-á-vis the real deal. Mr. Geskin took it upon himeslf to photoshop a placeholder wallscreen over photos of the mock-up to lend credence. The touchscreen dominates the front fascia while retaining the chin bezel to accommodate a fingerprint scanner. Though the iconic round button has been dispensed with and the fingerprint scanner is directly integrated in the display of the device.

He goes onto claim that the phone shares dimensions with last years iPhone 7 in the thickness and size department. The bezels all around measure 4mm according to Mr. Geskin, with dual-front and dual-rear cameras and 2.5D curved glass on both the front and back of the device. For hardware inter-connectivity and charging functions, the device will pack in Apple’s proprietary Lightning port.
