Moto revolutionised the budget smartphone game by introducing devices like the Moto G and the Moto E. We already heard a report a few days back telling us that Motorola is working on a new budget phone, the Moto C. Now, we have obtained 360 videos and renders by the Moto C and the Moto C Plus by OnLeaks.
Both the devices pack a 5-inch display. While the Moto C sports a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, the C Plus comes with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Both will run Android Nougat out of the box and will come in red, gold, black and silver colour options.
They will be powered by MediaTek chipsets while the clock speeds will be different. There is a 3G and a 4G version of the Moto C and the former will be powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core SoC while the latter will be powered by a 64 bit quad core SoC clocked at 1.1 GHz. The Moto C Plus runs on the 64 bit SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz.
The Moto C will come with 8GB and 16GB options of inbuilt storage while the C Plus will come with 16 GB of internal storage. It is worthy to note that all the devices will come with support for micro SD expansion. The Moto C will come with 1GB of RAM while the C Plus will either come in 1GB or 2GB of RAM, depending of the market.
As far as optics are concerned, all three smartphones have a 2MP sensor with a front-facing camera. While the Moto C has a 5MP rear sensor, the Moto C Plus has an upgraded 8MP camera. Interestingly, the 3G version of the Moto C has a fixed focus rear camera while the 4G version has an auto focus camera.
The Moto C is fuelled by a 2350 mAh battery while the Moto C Plus sports a beefier 4000 mAh battery. All the phones have a rear mounted speaker along with a headphone jack and USB port up top.
While the renders of the Moto C and the C Plus are very similar, the rear camera is flush on the Moto C while there is a mild camera bump on the C Plus.
