OnePlus seems to be pushing out a blur of updates for their current and last generation flagships. Even though the 3 and 3T are no longer the focus of their attention, they have continued receiving timely updates and beta patches to sort through. Today though it is the OnePlus 5’s turn, the company is rolling out OxygenOS v.4.5.10 to the flagship Never Settle device.

The update is mostly focussed on improving camera functionality. The complete patch notes as per the forum post announcing this OTA patch are,

Camera:

  • Photo noise reduction
  • Improved Camera stability
  • 60 fps video noise and texture improvements

Launcher:

  • Added country information of photographers in Shot on OnePlus

Phone:

  • Fixed accidental touches after hanging up
  • Improved Jio call functionality
  • Fixed display issue on calling screen

System fixes:

  • Improved WiFi stability
  • Clarity issue of videos taken by SnapShot app
  • Display issue of new font
  • Scrolling issue of Play Music

As is the norm for Android OTA’s, the update is being rolled out in phases so you might get the update a little later although the patch should reach the bulk of devices by the end of the week.

As this update is on the standard branch of OnePlus 5’s OS, you will not get this patch if you are enrolled in any beta programmes. Currently, it has not been put up on the OnePlus downloads page for users who manually flash their updates although it might be prudent to keep an eye on the downloads page.
