Oukitel, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is set to release a new affordable device with top-notch specs later this month. The device will be competing head to toe with the likes of Doogee and Leagoo which recently adapted the dual-camera frenzy. But to stir a little flavor variation from Doogee and Leagoo, Oukitel decided to employ not just one but two dual-camera setups on their smartphone.
Named as Oukitel K3, the device will have dual main camera with a pair of 16MP + 2MP sensors (which we suspected to be RGB + Monochrome setup) while the front will have a 13MP + 2MP camera setup. The company didn’t mention what type of dual camera technology they will be using on front but based on the recent reports, both of the dual camera will be capable of capturing photos with nice detail and bokeh effect, making it feel like a near-SLR experience. This alone will give Oukitel an edge among its competitors.
Of course, Oukitel is known for slapping huge batteries on their previous smartphones so its no shock that they’re doing it again with the K3. Although the battery power is a huge secret for now, this seems to be one of the highlight of the device that the company even launched an activity which let fans guess the battery capacity. This is all despite it being thinner than its predecessors.
The Oukitel K3 will have a 5.5″ FHD IGZO Display from Sharp and Asahi Glass on top for the display’s protection. As of now, there are no mentions regarding the processor the company is planning to implement on the device, neither the ROM or RAM capacity.
