Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has now announced a launch date for the Oppo R11s, its most premium range of phones. The Oppo R11s has been under the Weibo radar for some time and also passed TENAA and 3C certification. So, the next natural step is definitely official release. The company will take the wraps off the phone in 10 days time on November 2.
Oppo’ s R11s will also be the second phone to come with a thin bezel-display upholding the 18:9 aspect ratio. The first being the Oppo F5. Now, we don’t think these two phones are one and the same thing. As they have different launch dates and different specs. Furthermore, Oppo has been kind enough to post a teaser image to highlight key features of the phone as well alongside the invite.
Here are the key highlights of the device. A 6-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, new ColorOS version, better selfies with AI enhancements, Dual rear cameras, VOOC charge and longer battery life.
The Oppo R11s chipset will remain unchanged from its predecessor, leaks have pointed out so far. Even the 4 GB RAM setup will be the same. There is a Plus model too that will debut the same day. The R11s Plus according to tipsters might be a Snapdragon 835-totting handset, a flagship Oppo after a long time. The battery on the Plus is also supposed to be a bigger 4,000 mAh cell. The images here clearly depict a dual camera at the back. Talk around Chinese watercoolers is that it will be a 20 + 20 MP sensor combo.
