A Weibo post from Qualcomm China has just confirmed the rumors about Oppo’s newest smartphone, the Oppo R11. According to post, Oppo specially selected the Snapdragon 660 for the Oppo R11 considering that the smartphone is billed to come with a powerful camera setup. The reason of choosing the Snapdragon 660 is stated by Qualcomm China on their post.

One of the main feature that is tipped to us is the professional level camera Portrait Mode which will bring out the subject clearer than anything else in the foreground by making a DSLR-like blurred background. Thanks to its dual camera setup which also said to come with 2x lossless zoom. Later this year, Oppo showcased their own optical zoom technology using a periscope-style lens array. This will help them reduce or fully remove the same-old out-of-place camera bump because all the optics are enclosed in the flat chassis itself which other companies struggles to make if optical zoom comes into talk. To whether Oppo will implement this kind of technology in Oppo R11 or not is kind of a guessing game for now. But we’re sure to hear more about that as we get closer to the official launch and recent teaser and poster leaks indicates that the launch might just be around the corner.

The Oppo R11 is expected to come with 5.5-inch 1080p FHD display powered by Snapdragon 660 with Adreno 512 GPU facilitated by a 4GB of RAM and Android 7.1 Nougat. The device is listed to have a pair of 20MP+16MP rear-facing camera and whooping 20MP selfie shooter. To wrap up, Oppo R11 is said to have a 64GB of ROM which is not that sufficient for other people so we’re expecting some variant.
