The wait is finally over! After rigorous testing, OnePlus has finally begun rolling out the OxygenOS 4.1.0 update. This is a pretty significant update to all the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T owners and brings plenty of improvements and bug fixes. Hopefully, there are new features that are not yet discovered.(We will update the post if we find any).
Most importantly, OxygenOs 4.1.0 updates the two smartphones to Android 7.1.1 Nougat. This makes OnePlus the first OEM to offer Android version 7.1.1 on a smartphone. Presently, only the Google Pixel line and a few Nexus devices are running the latest software. Also, the update brings with it the latest March security patch.
The official change log of the OxygenOS 4.1.0 update for the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T is listed below:
- Upgraded Android 7.1.1
- Updated Google security patch to 1st March 2017
- Added expanded screenshots
- Improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction
- Improved video stability when recording
- Improved WiFi connectivity
- Improved Bluetooth connectivity
- General bug fixes
Though OnePlus has not official released the update zip file, a user in the OnePlus thread has uploaded the full zip file of the OnePlus 3T update.
The update will only reach small number of users today and be available to all the users in the next few days.
