OnePlus 5

The OnePlus 5 launch in India is right around the corner and the company has announced that it is planing to hold pop-up events in four cities namely New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. The pop-up event in Delhi will take place one day after the launch event i.e June 23 while the event will take place on June 24 in the other three cities. The pop-up event will let people experience the handset and buy it.

The Delhi event is scheduled to take place from 1pm to 9pm IST, the Bengaluru event starts at 12:30 pm and ends at 10pm while Chennai and Hyderabad will host the event between 3pm and 9pm. Dates and venues of the pop-up events are available on the OnePlus website.

“Everyone is invited. But, to be among the first ones to take home the OnePlus 5, you’ll have to be fast (limited stocks).”

OnePlus has also scheduled to hold similar pop-up events in New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and London following the global launch of the OnePlus 5 which takes place on  June 20.

The OnePlus 5 is expected to sport a 5.5 inch Quad HD display with Optic AMOLED technology. A recent report has claimed that entry level variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage will cost Rs.32,999 and the other variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will cost Rs.37,999.

The smartphone is expected to follow an iPhone-ish design with a dual camera setup on the back. The phone will be powered by the top of the line Snapdragon 835 SoC and will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the box.
