In the above screenshot one can see the message “Hey Summer! Give me five” followed by the message “Hello 5” underneath. This confirms earlier rumours that the company had plans to release its next smartphone, the OnePlus 5 in the June-August window.

The upcoming flagship killer is expected to be carrying Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 6 GB of RAM. Apart from which the device allegedly has a 5.5-inch QHD (1440 x2160) display panel. Keeping up with the latest trend of the year, the upcoming smartphone will feature a dual camera setup at the back. Powering all this hardware is a 3600mAh battery which is a modest step up from the OnePlus 3T’s 3500mAh unit. It will most likely feature the company’s proprietary Dash Charge technology and be running the latest iteration of Oxygen OS.

Currently this is all we know about the upcoming OnePlus 5. In keeping with tradition the smartphone should be priced around the $500 and lower. All the while offering a good mix of hardware and superlative OS which is regularly updated and improved in keeping with the companies motto of NEVER SETTLE.
