OnePlus is seeding a new v4.5.12 update for the OnePlus 5 today. The new update follows v4.5.11 which came out just a week back. One reason seems to be that the previous OTA update didn’t reach many users. So, with this version, those users will make the jump to v4.5.12 directly.
That is why the changelog also seems to be exactly the same as the previous one, albeit for one addition. The new addition in the changelog this time is, “Fixed bug of missing icon of Download app in 4.5.11”. This reference is to a bug in the latest build which didn’t get pushed to everyone. So, in actuality, this is the same update as v4.5.11. Also, there might be some more bug fixes as the “General bug fixes” entry points out.
With that, we take a look at the highlights of the recent update since this one has the same features. The most notable addition last week was a fix for Blueborne. The update arrived with September Security patch and plugged the major Bluetooth security issue. Furthermore, a Youtube audio lag issue that made video and audio out of sync was fixed too. Also, 4G receptivity issues were being encountered in some regions. That too was taken care of in the last update.
The new v4.5.12 update is rolling right now and it should be available on your device soon.
