OnePlus 5 is just around the corner and the company behind the smartphone, OnePlus has already announced that the smartphone will come this Summer which is about a month away from now. There have been leaks and rumors of the smartphone but there have been official confirmations from the company itself as well which is pretty unique. OnePlus has already teased plenty of things on its next smartphone like the color options, the name OnePlus 5 and its launch time. Now, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has announced on the OnePlus forums that the OnePlus 5 will come with the Snapdragon 835 processor which is the latest processor from Qualcomm for 2017.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau announced the news in the Official OnePlus Forums titled “Let’s talk performance for the OnePlus 5”. In the post, OnePlus CEO explains that the OnePlus 5’s latest processor alongwith the touch latency fixes from its engineers will ensure that the users will have a smoother-than-ever experience on the OnePlus 5.

The CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau explaining the issues of touch latency wrote the following:

One of the main areas we wanted to improve was touch latency. Our engineers tested why scrolling occasionally differed between phones. There wasn’t a lot of precedent for them to work with – no benchmarks, no industry case studies to learn from. So we used a special high-speed camera to track screen movements and measure input speeds. As a result, apps respond quickly to your touch for a seamless user experience.

OnePlus CEO also announced that there have been improvements made to the OnePlus 5’s Oxygen OS build to ensure faster loading times for opening apps and overall smoother experience on the device.

OnePlus CEO’s post explaining the processor and speed of the phone is the next step towards customer relationship from the company before its major release. OnePlus 5 is expected to be the best smartphone of 2017 and this post further adds to the point. Stay tuned as we know more about the OnePlus 5.
