Nokia 8

Everybody these days is talking about Android Oreo. So, Nokia thought, why not just go ahead and promise Android P one year before its launch. HMD Global’s Philippines arm confirmed today that they will have Android P on the platter for all current Nokia smartphones. Nokia has launched 4 Android smartphones and 2 more are the subject of various leaks.

Also, since these 4 models are sure to get the update, it follows that handsets launched after them will surely get it as well. Moreover, Nokia has also promised Android Oreo for its entire lineup before the end of 2017.

The current portfolio of HMD Global consists of Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the flagship Nokia 8. At least, two more devices are in the pipeline, those are the Nokia 2 an entry-level handset and a Nokia 9.

The Nokia 2 might not get Android P due to its hardware not passing the requirements of the OS update. As it is expected to sport a Snapdragon 212 chip paired with 2 GB of RAM. But still, we’ll wait and see when the device is official. All in all, it’s really great commitment from Nokia when most brands haven’t even said anything about Oreo, the Finnish OEM is talking about Android P.

That’s beautiful. Are Nokia (Microsoft) aficionados still going to access the outlook and outlook.com back-up facilities?
