Nokia is all set to unveil it’s new flagship, the Nokia 9. It was widely believed that the Nokia 9 will be based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, until today. A new GFXbench listing shows us the Nokia 9 running on Android 8.0.0. This may mean that the Nokia 9 will run Android Oreo out-of-the box.
The GFXbench listing means that the company is testing out the Android 8.0 build on the Nokia 9. Since we are not aware of the release date of the Nokia 9, we are not sure whether the phone will debut with Android Oreo. The Android 8.0 update may also arrive as an OTA update soon after the launch of the handset.
Being a flagship, the specs are pretty standard and predictable. The Nokia 9 is rumoured to sport a 5.5-5.7 inch display with Quad HD resolution. It will be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6/8GB of RAM. The smartphone will come with 128GB of internal storage with an option to expand it more via a microSD card.
As for optics, we do not have much information about the sensors. The Nokia 9 is expected to feature a dual 13MP setup at the rear.
