Nokia 8

Nokia launched it’s flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8 last month. Even though it came with the top of the line Snapdragon 835 SoC, it packed just 4GB of RAM and a mere 64GB of internal storage.

Now according to Winfuture, Nokia is all set to release an upgraded variant of the Nokia 8 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage in October. It will be available in Germany starting October 20 and there is no info on it’s availability in other countries. However, other countries are expected to follow soon.

Other than the difference in RAM and Storage, this variant of the Nokia 8 is pretty similar to the standard Nokia 8. It sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Nokia 8 is powered by the top of the line Snapdragon 835 SoC. This is backed up by a 3090mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.

As for optics, the smartphone features a dual camera setup on the rear consisting of two 12MP sensors. The lenses are Zeiss branded.

The new Nokia 8 will be priced at €669 and will be available in only one finish viz Polished Blue. To recall, the standard variant is priced at €579 which is €90 cheaper than the upgraded variant.
