Motorola has announced on Twitter and Facebook that it will launch the Moto G5 Plus in India on March 15. There has no mention of the regular G5 but Motorola is expected to announce the launch of G5 in this event.

Moto G5 Plus Specifications
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Moto G5 Plus has higher specifications and a larger display compared to the Moto G5. The Moto G5 Plus flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD display. At the core of the smartphone, it runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset which is known for its excellent balance of power and battery efficiency. The smartphone comes with 2/3/4 GB of RAM and storage options of 32GB and 64 GB. In the photography department, the Moto G5 Plus sports a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Note that this smartphone has the same specifications in the camera department as the Samsung’s 2016 flagship phone, Samsung Galaxy S7.
In battery department, the Moto G5 Plus uses a 3,000mAh removable battery and the smartphone is compatible with Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging technology.
Moto G5 Specifications
The Moto G5 features a smaller 5-inch full HD display. At the core of the smartphone, it runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 chipset. The smartphone like the G5 Plus also comes with 2/3/4 GB of RAM depending on the markets, and storage options of 16GB and 32GB. The photography specs of the Moto G5 include a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. On the software front, the Moto G5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Moto G5 is powered by a 2,800mAh removable battery.
For pricing, the Moto G5 starts at EUR 199 (roughly Rs. 14,000) for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant while the Moto G5 Plus has been priced at $229 (roughly Rs. 15,300) for the 2GB of RAM with 32GB storage model, and EUR 279 (roughly Rs. 19,700) for the 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage variant. The price of the 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage variant of the Moto G5 Plus has not been announced yet.
Note that the prices here are simply converted from EUR to INR and we dont guarantee that this will be the final pricing of the smartphone. One thing to note is that, Motorola has been very competitive in their pricing in the past so we expect them to price it at a competitive price to compete with the smartphones like the Redmi Note 4 and the Honor 6x.
Motorola is also expected to reveal the release date for the Moto G5 on March 15.
