Motorola has been preparing to launch the next flagship phones in the Moto Z series after the company launched the Moto Z and Moto Z Play. The company also launched the Droid series in the U.S which is exclusive to the U.S carrier Verizon. Though, we have known from the famous leakster, Evan Blass that the Droid name will be excluded from this year’s Moto Z and will instead be named the Moto Z2 Force. Also known is that this time around T-Mobile will also carry the Moto Z2 Force which means that the exclusivity of the Verizon-only Droid series is gone.
Now, we have leaked photos of the Moto Z2 Force which have some similarities to the Moto Z2 and the Moto Z2 Play. According to the past leaks, the Moto Z2 and the Moto Z2 Play have a 16-pin connector on the back of the phone for connecting the ‘Moto Mods’. Same is the case with the Moto Z2 Force which has a 16-pin connector at the back as well. The leaked images also show a pill-shaped fingerprint sensor which was first seen in the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus.
According to the leaked specifications, Moto Z2 Force could come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED ShatterShield display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. Powering the phone will be the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which includes an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU. We could see 4GB of RAM inside, along with 64GB of native storage.
We have also known that the launch of the Moto Z2 line will be made early next month so we expect to get all the official details soon. Stay tuned for the Moto Z2 series launch.
