Lenovo recently announced that going forward Motorola will design, develop and manufacture smartphones on its behalf, and the first smartphone is pegged to be called Lemon X. Now, a fresh leak through a TENAA listing, hints that there will be two variants of the Lemon X, and reveals a few spec details of the device.
The listing was first spotted by GSMDome, and it states that the first variant is codenamed Lenovo K51c78, and it flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM memory. It has 16GB internal memory with a microSD slot that is expandable up to 32GB.
The smartphone could either sport an 8 or 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor for selfies. The Lenovo K51c78 is 8.7 mm thin, weighs around 152 grams, supports 4G and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The other one is codenamed Lenovo X3c70, and flaunts a similar 5.5-inch full HD display. It is however powered by a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor paired with 3GB RAM. It also offers 64GB of internal storage space.
On the camera front, the Lenovo X3c70 sports a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone flash, and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs on Android Lollipop, supports 4G connectivity, is a bit thicker at 9.4mm and also weighs a bit more at 175 grams. It even supports Dolby Audio for superior sound quality.
Both the variants come with front-facing speakers and a fingerprint scanner at the back. Past leaks suggest that the smartphones will sport an all metal frame, with really thin bezel and capacitative buttons on the front.
Lenovo has not yet revealed any official details about these smartphone, but as the leaks have started to pick up pace, more tangible information might just be around the corner. As the disclaimer goes for all leaks, take this one too with a pinch of salt.
