Just yesterday we had reported that Lenovo plans to launch a new device on the 30th of June. It was speculated that this would be the MOTO X4 and today we have received further news regarding the smartphone. Upcoming tipster @HeyAndri posted the specifications of the MOTO X4 in a tweet (below).

From the tweet, we can see that Lenovo (Motorola) plans to push the MOTO X4 as a premium mid-range handset. The tweet mentions that at the heart of the handset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage. The smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 x1920) display but no information regarding what panel is being used. The smartphone had been rumoured to be having a dual camera setup and the tweet confirms it as having a twin 13-megapixel sensors with f/1.7 and f/2.2 aperture coupled with a dual-LED flash. The selfie camera up front also has a dedicated flash. Powering all this hardware is a 3800mAh battery and the handset will come with a lightly skinned version of Android v.7.0, Nougat out of the box.

The tweet also mentions that the MOTO X4 will come with a glass and metal chassis as is the norm these days. The smartphone also features a NFC module and a TouchID system which confirms that it is likely to feature a fingerprint scanner; which is to be most likely below the display and in the shape of a lozenge. The MOTO X4 was one of the devices which was leaked in a presentation that detailed all the upcoming MOTO launches for the year. In the leaked presentation it was alleged that the smartphone will be coming with IP68 certification as well for dust and water ingress protection.
