The MOTO X4 remains one of the few handsets that Motorola has teased but not released. The Lenovo owned brand recently popped a surprise with the reveal of the MOTO G5S “Special Edition”. The X4 would be the return of the X range of handsets, which were earlier the flagship smartphone(s) from Motorola prior to them getting bought by Lenovo. Recently, the MOTO X4 was spotted on Indonesia’s certification agency, POSTEL bearing the model number XT-1805.

Although the listing (below) does not give us much information with regards to the smartphone, it does indicate an imminent launch in the country followed by rest of Asia. The Motorola MOTO X4 has been at the centre of many leaks since it was first picked up in a leaked marketing presentation. Initial reports had indicated a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC which was later revised to a Snapdragon 630. The chipset was complemented by 3GB /4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory (which should be expandable). The handset is also to feature a dual-camera system at the rear comprised of a 12-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. Selfie duties are to be handled by either a 5 or a 16-megapixel sensor depending on which benchmark you believe.
Powering the smartphone would be a non-removable 3000mAh battery and out of the box, the MOTO X4 should be running on a close to stock build of vanilla Android v.7.1.1, Nougat. The phone is likely to feature a contemporary build mantra, metal chassis sandwiched by two glass halves, this will allow the smartphone to flaunt an IP water and dust resistance rating too which would be another first for a MOTO device.
