We had expected to see Motorola show us the MOTO X4 and MOTO G5S range of handsets in its recent launch event at New York. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at the situation, it might not have been appropriate to steal the focus away from the MOTO Z2 Force. Now, we are getting detailed leaks of the unrevealed handsets on an almost daily basis and today it is the turn of the MOTO G5S.

In a recent twitter post (above) noted tipster @evleaks posted out images of the upcoming G5S Plus, showcasing the latter’s myriad of colour options. According to the image, the G5S Plus will come in Rose Gold, Lunar Grey and Silver options. The Rose Gold and Silver will have a white face while the Grey option will likely come with a black front.
The MOTO G5 Plus will not only come in a new colour option but will feature an all-metal chassis. Apart from the upgrade in the build material the smartphone will also pack in a dual camera at the rear with a larger 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x1920) display.
Apart from this, there is not much that sets the two smartphones apart, with the internal components of the MOTO G5 Plus being reused for the G5S Plus, most likely due to logistical reasons. The SoC at the heart is the veteran Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 coupled with 4GB of RAM. Earlier it was speculated that the G5S Plus would come with a similar ~3000mAh battery unit as the older G5 Plus but recent reports have not been so clear on point. Apart from this we know the pricing of these two units should be around the ~€330 (and regional equivalents) mark thanks to a recent leak.
