Just after releasing an open beta of the Chinese MIUI 9 ROM, Xiaomi has rolled out a global beta version as well for the third and last batch of devices. The update v7.9.7 is announced on Xiaomi’s MIUI forum. The third batch has a lot of devices under its fold compared to the first and second batch. Those two batches comprising Mi 6, Redmi Note 4, Mi Mix, Mi Note 2, Mi 5, Mi Max 2 and some more device have already got the update.

If you are already on a Beta ROM of MIUI 8, you can update via the “Updater” application. However, if you are on the stable build, you will have to install via fastboot. Or, they can wait for the stable ROM to drop in October. So, here are the devices that can be upgraded to MIUI 9 with Android Nougat:

Mi 5, Mi Max (32GB), Mi 2/2S, Mi 4, Mi Note, Mi 4i, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S/3X, Redmi 2.

Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon), Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi 4G, Redmi Note 2.

Mi Max Prime, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4G, Mi Note 2, Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus.
