Just a week after Meizu launched Meizu Pro 7 and Meizu Pro 7 Plus, another Meizu variant appeared on Geekbench database. This time it carries a rather more powerful processor from Qualcomm.

The Meizu Pro 7 launched last week will be powered by either Mediatek Helio P25 or the Helio X30 with the Plus model carrying 6GB of RAM and the other with standard 4GB of RAM. It will be the first device with Helio X30 to become globally available.

But Mediatek is reportedly having issues producing Helio X30 which apparently based on 10nm process. This alone gives us enough reason to speculate the company to opt for an alternative processor. And if we think about the closest possible candidate, nothing comes close to mind than the powerful Snapdragon 835. Whether Meizu will opt for Snapdragon 835 or not, we will never know until we see some leaks coming in which is exactly what happened today.

Meizu Pro 7 was spotted on Geekbench revealing some cool informations about it’s processor. It will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6GB of RAM, scoring around 1969 in single-core test and 6536 for multi-core test. This put the Meizu Pro 7 on the same elite area of smartphones with Snapdragon 835.

However, take this with a grain of salt as the information is yet to be confirmed by the company. This is also possibly be just a prototype device under testing but will never go into production. But keep your hopes high Meizu fans.
