Meitu, a Chinese firm known for its selfie apps more than its smartphones, has just got a new phone certified by TENAA. The phone dubbed Meitu V6 is a luxury V series phone that will succeed the previously launched V4. The TENAA listing indicates that Meitu is on the verge of releasing the phone.

Meitu phones come with their typical V-shaped design on the top and bottom giving them a very distinct look. This latest V series phone is no different. According to TENAA images, the phone has a leather back, two rear cameras and two big looking front shooters as well. The fingerprint sits below the display panel. That’s not all, the front also houses two speakers.

In the display department, the phone has a 5.49-inch OLED panel with Full HD resolution. It is expected to rock a MediaTek Helio X30 chip clocked at 2.8 GHz frequency. What can also be discerned from the TENAA listing is the phone will come in 4 GB/6 GB RAM variants.

The rear camera will adorn a single 12 MP sensor, the other sensor’s pixel count is unknown. While the front will also boast of Bokeh effect features. The hardware package will come with Android Nougat preinstalled and a battery of 3,100 mAh capacity. This is what we know from the latest info on hand.

Pricing and availability of the phone aren’t known as of yet but we should see an announcement in November itself. Meitu recently launched the Meitu T8S and Meitu M8S recently in China and the two phones are on sale.
