We had covered the Maze Alpha in a leak, way back in April when noted tipster @evleaks had tweeted about the same. The Alpha was supposed to be Maze’s second release and more importantly its first bezel-less smartphone. What we were unaware about the device then was the hardware it packed internally but now the company has officially released those details.

Maze Alpha MediaTek Helio P25 SoC

In a recent update on their site, Maze unveiled the complete details about the upcoming handset. The Maze Alpha would be a premium handset with a bezel-less metal chassis dominated by a 6-inch full-HD (1080 x1920) display with bezels measuring 1.8mm. The handset will come with two RAM variants, a regular 4 GB option and a limited 6 GB run. For the rest of the hardware, the smartphone packs a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC with an octa-core CPU clocked @2.5GHz and a Mali-T880 GPU clocked @900MHz. Both variants of the handset will come with 64 GB of internal storage. The Maze Alpha is going to feature a dual camera at the back with a 4000mAh battery unit to power all the hardware.

With such small bezels, the device will be aiming for a screen-to-body ratio of at least 83% if not higher. The company claims to have fit the 6-inch display into the footprint of regular devices carrying a 5.5-inch display and has optimised the hardware and software to provide the best possible User Experience whilst maintaining a respectable battery life.
