There has been a lot of buzz regarding the LG G6 mini since last week. Now, LG has released a video teaser that confirms that a new smartphone is releasing tommorow. As per previous leaks and reports, this device is expected to be the LG Q6.

That said, LG doesn’t want to ruin the suspense and hasn’t revealed the name of the upcoming smartphone. LG has sent out press invites with the hashtag #LGBarbeQ for the launch event in Poland taking place tomorrow(July 11th).

The LG Q6 is set to be the mini version of the LG G6. It is expected to include a 5.4 inch Full Vision display with Quad HD resolution. More importantly, the LG Q6 will retain the same 18:9 aspect ratio found on the LG G6.

Underneath the hood, the LG Q6 is said to sport an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC, which is clocked at 1.4GHz. This will paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Being a budget option, the LG Q6 will not house the dual rear camera setup found on the LG G6. It will come with a single 13MP sensor on the back. The phone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with LG’s latest custom UI on top.

Notably, this is not the first time LG is making smaller versions of it’s flagship smartphones. Last year, LG released the LG G5 SE which was a toned down version of the LG G5.
