Selfie and video calling duties are handled by a 5-megapixel sensor with a 120° wide-angle lens to accommodate a groupie.
To power all the hardware LG has provided the Q8 with a 3000mAh non-removable battery. Out of the box, the handset is running on Android v.7.x, Nougat. Just like the V20, it is emulating the Q8 comes packing a quad DAC for better audio output over the 3.5mm audio jack. At the bottom of the handset for powering the device, you get a USB Type-C connector which is becoming more and more popular with recently released mid-range to high-end smartphones.
