We already know a lot of details about the upcoming LG G6 that is going to be launched at MWC later this month. We know that the handset would come in a metal shell and is expected to sport a 5.7 inch Quad-HD display with a resolution of 1440X2880 pixels. It is also set to come with a new Quad DAC(Digital to Analog converter) for high quality sound.
LG has been teasing a lot lately and today, in a video it has teased another major part of the LG G6: its User Interface. While the video is very short, it assures us that the LG G6 is getting an all new UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is also evident from the video that the new user interface continues to evolve in the directions set by LG G5’s UX 5.0 and LG V20’s UX 5.0+. The short video also confirms that the LG G6 will have curved corners and the bezels will almost be non-existent. The interface is expected to be called the LG UX 6.0.
LG’s teasers have also implied that the LG G6 will come with improved water-resistance. The smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset and not the Snapdragon 835 and is expected to feature an improved rear and front camera module. It is also rumoured that the smartphone would be fuelled by a 3200mAh battery.
With all these rumours almost revealing the entire smartphone, it is safe to say that the LG G6 looks solid at least on paper. This phone has the potential to prove that LG has not given up especially after the failure of the LG G5.
